Family, Biblical Core Course, and Back to Trang
After 6 months, I am headed back home to Trang. I’ve spent time in a Bible school, filling out visa information, visiting family and building up support, and it’s finally time to head back home.
Visiting Family
I am so thankful for the time I got to spend with family this spring. I got to see my sister’s senior recital and graduation. It was so special to see the life that she has built over the last few years. We got to help her move in to her new home. I’ve never considered her an extrovert, but on her graduation night she had over 30 people come to celebrate in her new place!
In addition to seeing my sister graduate college, I got to meet a brand new baby sibling! Now four months old, I was so glad to spend some time with her. The whole family was able to be together for a weekend and go on vacation, and make memories. It was a much needed time, and I pray that we have more in the future. Even though many of us don’t live in the same place anymore!
BCC
As I shared earlier, I spent the summer in the Biblical Core Course (BCC) at YWAM Montana. I am so thankful for the opportunity to go and refine my Bible study skills, as well as take a break from ministry and refocus. God was so gracious. I don’t know if I really have the words to describe how perfect this school was. It was the perfect school for the perfect time.
We began in Genesis, a book I’ve read a hundred times. But I got stuck on the first chapter. Somehow I never realized how profound it is that God want to dwell with man. The whole point of the garden was so that God could be with man. Then the role of man was to spread the garden to the whole earth. Even from the beginning, there was a call to go out and to spread this dwelling.
This was so deeply impactful to me, to realize the depth of God’s love for us in a greater way. It wasn’t new information, but God had revealed something about his character that caught my attention. He pursues us and desires to deeply to be with us that he sent his Son to restore and renew what we had broken. This is where we are headed too. When we ended with Revelation we see that God wants to bring us back into a perfect garden, only this time, having perfected and cleansed his people from sin for all time. No unclean thing will be seen in that garden, but man can dwell with God forever.
It makes me so excited to return to Thailand with renewed love for God, a renewed perspective of his love for me, and a deeper conviction of his love for the nations. All throughout the scriptures God speaks to his love for the nations. For the believer, there is nothing else more fitting that to make God known in all places. To go where the gospel is not. God made provision for many more than just Israel to know him. And the first thing that the Holy Spirit did when it came to dwell within man was to speak in many languages and tell of what Jesus had done. If you thought I was too serious about the nations before, I hate to break it to you but I’m even more convinced of his purpose for all the nations and how important our role as the Church is!! God is so good, and worthy of so much more than just our worship. He is worthy of all peoples, tribes, tongues, and nations worshipping him, and we must go to make it happen!!
Financial Update

For the first time in my 5 years in YWAM, I am fully funded!!
I am completely blown away. Thank you all so much for your support. I spent the first 6 months of this year working as hard as I could on getting to my goal of $1,500 before the BCC started. And I only kind of got there. Before the school, my support even dropped a bit. But, I felt like God said to trust him, and that it would come in. So I left for the school, hoping and praying that God would provide.
Then, by a miracle of God, I began to meet new supporters while in Montana. I began to get donations from people I don’t know! In fact, if I had a nickel for every time I met a supporter on a plane I would have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice!! (Thanks to the both of you by the way!) I am still waiting on a few people to get the technical difficulties worked out, but after that I should be at $1,750! This is a huge relief, and I am very grateful for every single one of you who have partnered with me. Going into the next season, knowing I can save for outreaches and for everything that God is calling me to without concern is a huge blessing. God is faithful, and he has moved through you. Thank you. This is a weight off my shoulders that allows me to focus with more diligence on discipling the students to come!
Newsletter Format Update
In just a few months I will be changing the platform of my newsletters. Because I continue to go to more sensitive nations, I am going to be getting rid of my website and starting to use MailChimp for my updates. It is a little more simple, and more private. Final Thoughts
I am so excited to get back home to Trang. It is going to be a new season, jumping into the next DTS, learning more about school leading, strategizing for how to most effectively send multitudes into the nations. I’ve never been so excited to be back in Thailand and back into ministry. God has rejuvenated and refreshed my heart, and I cannot wait to be back.
